Finding large images on your website is the first thing you need to do when you’re optimizing your website for better Image SEO.
In this blog, you can learn a simple and easy method to find large images on your website, using Screaming Frog. Follow the steps below and let’s find the oversized images on our website.
Step 1: Launch Screaming Frog and use the following configuration settings ( Img: Crawl Configuration Part 1 & Part 2).

Step 2: Run the crawl completely. Go to the images tab as in the below screenshot and click on the column header “Size” to sort them by size in descending order. Now select an address and choose the “inlinks” tab from the bottom section. There you can see the page where the image is located.

By repeating the above steps, you can prepare a list of large images and where it is present on your website.
As a quick solution, you can use an image compression tool to replace the large images with an optimised one.
